ATFUSA keeps the USA records for track and field for the Junior and Master Adaptive Athletes (Athletes following WPA or ATFUSA Rules and Regulations). It also tries to keep up with the Open USA Para records so there is a one stop place to review them.
ATFUSA collects ATFUSA track or field record forms all year. At the end of the season, the records database is updated for the following year.
Records are kept in track and field by age
groups:
U11, U14, U17, U20, M35, M50, M60.
Records are also reported for the Open (Adult) group.
During the year athletes should go to MEET RESULTS to see which performances are potential records.
To be put in contention to be a record holder, athletes must have recorded his/her mark or time at a:
- Open/Masters athletes: WPA Approved/Sanctioned or/ ATFUSA Level 3 meet
- Juniors athletes: ATFUSA Level 3 meet or certified WPA/US Paralympic Athletics competitions.
- Athletes in track must have competed in an event in which they competed in class and age group.
- Note: Even if a performance seems to be a record, if the performance is not recorded properly and/or the proper signatures or details are not recorded the performance will not be recognized.
To submit a ATFUSA record, a record form must be filled
out
(At all Move United or ATFUSA Level 3 meets record forms are automatically
filled out, but if you do not think this is being done please tell the
meet director):
