Setting the standards and records
for adaptive athletes in the USA

Officials:
Note: Course has been revised for
          2018 rule changes.

Officials are the backbone of Athletics.  In order to have fair competition there must be rules and Officials who enforce them.

FIND AN OFFICIAL:
If you are a meet organizer you must have a complement of qualified Officials. Click above link to our Find an Official App
to find Certified Para Officials for your meet.

Although all officials on the list have passed the Para Course and Test, we cannot confirm all officials are in compliance with USA Track and Field (USATF) guidelines. If your meet is USATF Sanctioned, you need to contact your local USATF Association to verify that the officials being used are:
1. Current members of USATF;
2. Have current a SafeSport certification;
3. Have passed a current background check

HOW TO BE A PARA OFFICIAL:
There is a process to be a USA PARA Official.

  1. Join USAT&F and sign up to be an Official.
  2. Go through the Apprentice process and become an Association Level Official
  3. Take the Officials Course.  OFFICIALS COURSE   (Revised 5_16_2018)

 If you want to officiate at a meet and not join USATF you can take the course and take the test.  you will not be able to be a lead official but you can volunteer.
